Totem is a first-person puzzler, much in the same vein as Portal and Talos Principle. In Totem, you play as a person who has fallen into a cavern with no escape, that turns out to be a prison for an ancient god. When he awakens, he offers you a deal; in exchange for a little of his power, he will guide you out of the temple, but you have to free him first.

This seems like a really cool puzzle game concept! I see a lot of potential in this game mechanic, although I didn't get very far myself. My biggest frustration with this game is the low mouse sensitivity. An options menu to adjust things like that would be greatly appreciated! (And while we're at it, a pause menu to access it from would be swell, too). Overall though, this seems like an exciting start to what, with some more polish and refinement, I think can be a fantastic title.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm still deciding what to do with the game, as it would be a VERY big build to get it where I want it. If there's sufficient interest, I'll continue.
What are the controls?
WASD to move
Space Jump
LMB casts void totem ON GLOWING SURFACES ONLY
RMB casts formation totem ON GLOWING SURFACES ONLY
The mouse buttons don't work! How do I fix to play game??

There should be a target in the middle of the screen, and some indicator you are on target tile, like the hands glow or something. I was looking ahead, thinking it would raytrace to the centre tile ahead of me on the floor!
Yes what we call "negative feedback" is absent from the totem projection, truthfully, the demo needed to have as few surfaces "totem-able" as possible to make sure people get the idea as quickly as possible, but I admit it is very difficult without a target reticle. Maybe in an update soon!
It most definitely needs a target reticle, and feedback, like index fingers “glow”.
Portal and all other games have this, so it’s most definitely essential. I can’t express how frustrated I was!
Target reticle added!
Awesome game! 🤩
Hey Kenny! I remember the voiceover livestream. I completely forgot about this project :D Nice to see it again!
Really good game! the mechanics were a bit hard to understand at first, but you catch on to them very fast. But they are so cool, and as far a I know unique, which I find impressive as most concepts like this are already made. No big issues with the game play, and a funny and yet serious story, the perfect balance ;). I do however whish the game and story was longer. But gold like this is rare and scarse, so no surprise. I bet it must have been hard to make and must have taken a while. Anyway 5/5, and keep up the good work!
Thanks for playing - yup this is a new mechanic as far as I know. Hoping to get some encouragement and funding from a publisher to keep going.
I would love to play but mouse buttons don't work! can you pleaase help?
You can only fire totems at areas that have glowing glyphs, are you trying to place them everywhere?
